WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
Sweet Dream House Rescue is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing all breeds of dogs and cats from high-kill shelters. Our focus is on saving the lives of those who are most likely to not be saved without our help. We concentrate on the transient creatures who have been overlooked by adopters and other rescues, becoming the rescue of 'last resort' for those animals. Before any of our rescued dogs and cats are adopted, we provide any necessary medical care and age-appropriate vaccinations to ensure they are healthy. And, they are spayed/neutered and microchipped. We utilize a network of foster homes for pets ready for adoption.

Building on a strong foundation of like-minded volunteers in the rescue community, we have built a network of shelters and other rescues in neighboring states who share the same 'no animal left behind' philosophy to ensure that we save as many lives as we can.

SINCE STARTING THE RESCUE IN 2011, WE HAVE SAVED THE LIVES OF OVER 6,000 DOGS AND CATS!

Our Rescue was featured in a dogumentary!

Sweet Dream House Rescue is proud to have received a $1,000 grant from the PETFINDER FOUNDATION to help a dog named Hopeful (also called 'Hope'). Hope was injured in West Virginia and both her back legs were broken. In West Virginia, the vets were able to repair one leg, but the other leg was too badly damaged for that vet to fix. Our rescue had Hope transferred to Noah's Ark Animal Clinic of Colerain where a canine orthopedic surgeon was able to repair Hope's other leg!  Hope is currently in a foster home and receiving physical therapy.

Sweet Dream House Rescue is proud to be a member of the Bissell Partners for Pets Program.
